continue to remain synonymous with teen culture and all of its ups, downs and unfortunate apple pie incidents. Inevitably they've now ascended into their maturer years, but for a band whose philosophy appears to be about acting as old as you feel, can they recapture the good times of yesteryear with their comeback effort? "Everyone works and fights, stays up all night to celebrate the day," Tom DeLonge sing-speaks in his familiar emo twang over spiralling electric guitars, grungy bass and Travis Barker's angst-driven drum beats. The result is a hearty slice of stadium-sized pop-rock not too dissimilar to DeLonge's band on the side Angels and Airwaves. "Everyone lives to tell the tale of how we die alone some day," Mark Hoppus muses, reminding us all that life is too short to worry about getting old.
