the SLoT – Break the Code

Formed in Russia in 2002 the SLoT has been scratching and clawing their way toward World-Wide recognition and domination!  “Break the Code” has the potential to smash the glass ceiling, and put the SLoT at the top of every Metal fans must have list.  The band has won numerous music industry awards in their native country of Russia.  the SLoT logically made the leap the few other acts out of Russia have made, that is deciding to record in English.  2011 will be the breakout year for the band.  With the August release of the bands first international album (in English) “Break the Code.”

“Break the Code” perfectly displays the SLoT’s musical and vocal talent.  The band is fronted a pair of outstanding singers Nookie is the female lead she has the ability to sound like an angel one second and a devil the next.  The male lead Cache is a powerhouse vocalist who is every bit the equal of his female counterpart.  The combination of the two voices works so well together that it gives the SLoT that little something extra that a band needs to stand out in this day and age.  Musically the band has a sound that’s familiar, but different enough to draw you in and keep you listening.  Heavy Metal mixed with Electronic, but neither gaining the upper hand lends proof the overall talent of the band.  the SLoT’s first international single “Lego” captures the group at their best.  The track is Hard Rock strong with Nookie and Cache putting on a singing clinic by demonstrating that they both have amazing voices, and a range of Clean to Scream to match.  “Two Wars” and the title track “Break the Code” standout a hair above an impressive package of songs.  “Break the Code” sports an unusually long track listing totaling 16 songs, but let me put all doubts to rest right now.  There no gaps or holes in the record the momentum is like a freight train from track #1 all the way through #16.
I look forward to learning more about the SLoT.  Bands hailing from faraway places like Russia are kind of a rarity I’d be interested to hear more of their story as I’m sure soon to be fans of the band would.  As hard as it is for groups to make it here in the states I can’t imagine how hard a band from Russia has to fight to get to the level that the SLoT has achieved.  There’s no denying that the band has the complete support of their label and the other people involved in making this band a success, and with good reason.  “Break the Code” will impress and delight Metal fans the world over.  the SLoT sounds fueled up and primed to take over the WORLD !!
